Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to THE APE. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect

• Contact data you voluntarily send us by email, phone/ WhatsApp or through the Abu assistant (name, email, message and whatever you choose to share about your project).
• Basic technical data generated by the infrastructure (Cloudflare), such as your IP address, used only for security and to limit abuse of the assistant.

3. How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiries and quote requests.
• To provide and improve our services.
• To ensure the security and proper functioning of the site.

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent, on pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and on our legitimate interest in managing commercial contacts and protecting the site.

5. Abu assistant (AI)

Abu is an assistant that combines artificial intelligence and human support. The messages you type are processed to generate a reply through an AI provider (Anthropic). Please do not enter sensitive data in the chat. You can always contact us directly by email.

6. Bot protection

The contact form and the Abu assistant are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode: we do not ask you to identify traffic lights or to click anything. Instead, your browser silently solves a challenge that tells a person apart from an automated program.

To do so, Cloudflare processes technical signals from the request, such as the IP address, the browser header and the connection fingerprint. They are not used for advertising or to track you across sites. Details are in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

7. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We use service providers that help us run the site (for example hosting on Cloudflare and Abu's AI provider), always under confidentiality guarantees.

8. Retention period

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or until you withdraw your consent. Specifically: conversations with the Abu assistant are deleted automatically after 180 days, and contact requests stay with us for the duration of the working relationship or until you ask us to delete them.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, as well as data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
